When the Light Leaves Too Soon - By Sophia Dang

When the Light Leaves Too Soon - By Sophia Dang

When you lose one of the most beautiful souls on this earth, your whole world shatters.

Time moves forward — for everyone else, but not for you. You're left suspended in a haze, amidst heartbreak, sorrow, grief and existentialism.

You begin to question the injustices and unfairness of life. How can someone so kind-hearted and full of love be taken away so soon? Why someone who gave her all, who loved deeply, who lit the world up just by being in it?

Wendy was the living embodiment of light, passion, drive and love.

And suddenly, it stops making sense — to partake in a world that knows no means of fairness, that strips life from the very people who are most kind, most loving, most deserving.

And though there is so much to be said and fought against, Wendy's loss reminds us of something we too often forget:

Time isn't promised.
Life is fleeting.
It doesn't wait for anybody.

So, live your life now. Discover your purpose. Speak your truth. Create a life that reflects who you truly are, a life that lights up your heart and soul.

Because the truth is — we'll never know when our time will come when the final second strikes, and we're the ones saying goodbye.

There's no point in waiting around, hoping that someday, somehow, happiness and fulfilment will just appear.

That time is now.

Now is the moment to create a life true to your essence, to follow what your heart longs for, beneath all the fear, pressure and ego.

It’s not about being reckless. It’s about being real.
 Let each day carry meaning.
Let go of what numbs or drains you.
Give your energy to what feels real. Spread love, joy and gentleness,
 not just for others,
 but for you, too.
